Retirement Planning Florida

Wanting retirement planning Florida?

Consider these interviews with four different people who made their decision about where to retire.

Marion and her husband, Joe, dreamed of retiring out of the cold, extreme weather of North East US. They holidayed in Florida several years, then bought a condo five years before their retirement was due. One cold, bitter day when Marion came home from work, Joe said, “Marion, let’s go to Florida! I can’t stand to shovel one more day!”

Ten years later, Marion loves it still. “Very soon after we got there, we bought a house, we needed the room to putter in the yard. Though Joe has died, I continue to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, great climate, and wonderful friends who saw me through Joe’s death. Retirement planning to Florida was the right decision for me. ”

Bud and Lorraine, from mid-West US, spent a winter around Jacksonville, Florida when their daughter was transferred there. As they considered their retirement planning in Florida, they lived in an RV, staying in a RV park for four months.

Lorraine states, “The best thing was Disneyworld; I think it’s for adults. There is an RV park right on Disney property that is great. I didn’t enjoy the bugs; carry spray with you when you go!

I prefer the Northwest US year-round, Florida’s summer is too humid for me.”

Brenda, business owner, single and in her 50’s considered retirement planning in Florida. “Northerners really like it. I think New Jersey must be empty! All my family, and I have a large one, have retired to Florida, where retirees are treated well, with the medical system and restaurants catering to seniors in a very satisfactory way.”

When you are considering retirement planning, Florida or else where, consider what your purpose and passion will be in this stage of your life. How are you going to grow, stay involved and give your gifts to the world?
